We’re pleased to announce our second signing in a week as we complete our expansion by signing the hugely talented and up-coming folk rock band The Staycations
Lewis, Charlie, Will and Craig are rapidly grabbing the attention of people within the local music scene with their self-penned contemporary music and leave a lasting impression with anyone who has the fortune to see them play a live set as well as setting young ladies hearts fluttering! Despite their tender ages of 15 and 16 their style is mature beyond their years and is constantly evolving through writing of new material and every gig they play.
The Staycations performed at last years Cambridge Folk Festival, have appeared at the last two Cambridge Christmas light switch on events and made the final of the Under 18 Cambridge Band Competition in 2013. The band have just released a new three track EP for free download titled ‘Tied in Time’ with the lead single ‘Dust Beneath Our Feet’ having received radio play across the local area including featuring on BBC Introducing and now, even Europe!
Off The Chart Promotions have been seeking to expand it’s artist portfolio during the early part of 2014 and see the addition of The Staycations as the final jigsaw in that puzzle. We become the bands management and booking agent as well as providing full support to enable continued future development.
Tim Willett, Director of Off The Chart Promotions said ”I was a little bit late to the party when it came to discovering The Staycations having only come across them whilst judging the Under 18 Cambridge Band Competition in November last year but at that point it was clear to me this band were something a little bit special. It wasn’t until I had them as guests on Star Talent and saw them perform a further set at the Avery acoustic night in January that I decided they were a band I really wanted to work with and I’m thrilled to have signed them up”
Lewis Hall, lead vocalist said ”We feel extremely excited and proud that OTC Promotions have offered us this opportunity. We love writing and performing our music and are excited about the future and it’s possibilities, the sky’s the limit!”
The Staycations join 28 Boulevard, Lost Lungs and Flux32 as artists represented by OTC Promotions.
